Heavy Machinery Management
Maximum productivity in extreme environments: optimizing actual engine hours and reducing fuel waste and idling.
The Field Productivity Challenge
Unlike highway fleets, the value of heavy machinery is measured in hours, not kilometers. Backhoes, tractors, generators, and agricultural implements represent massive investments where idling is the hidden enemy of profitability. It is estimated that construction machines spend up to 40% of their ignition time running but not producing, wasting fuel and accelerating unnecessary wear and tear.
Furthermore, controlling unauthorized use and working outside authorized areas (geofencing) on construction sites or remote farms is a constant challenge for asset managers who cannot be everywhere at once.
Asset Telemetry and Angular Sensors
Axium Analytics' solution for heavy machinery goes beyond the basic digital hour meter. We deploy motion and tilt (angular) sensors that identify if the machine is actually working or just running the engine. In excavators, for instance, we monitor the movement of the hydraulic arm; in dump trucks, we detect the exact moment of every discharge.
Our equipment features an industrial protection rating (IP67/IP69K), resisting high-pressure water jets, mud, dust, and the intense vibrations typical of mining operations and infrastructure projects. Data reading via CAN Bus allows monitoring real fuel consumption from the ECU and critical oil pressure/temperature alerts, preventing catastrophic breakdowns.
Safety and Operator Control
Through driver identification (iButton or RFID), we ensure that only trained personnel operate specific equipment, logging the hours worked per operator for accurate payroll and productivity management. Intelligent electronic fencing (Geofence) sends immediate alerts if a machine leaves the permitted area or enters unauthorized danger zones.
